Together we can make a difference.
The Love Lunch is a community event held every two years and brings together hundreds of community-minded women to support small, high-impact projects that help make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people in the community. The Love Lunch has gone from strength to strength and has tapped into the deep need for us all to contribute to community, support those in need, help others who need a leg-up, and encourage those who aim to make a difference.
Like all great events, we started small and have rapidly gained a following of people that are helping those in need. We hope you can join us.
So far, our event has supported the following initiatives -
$17,000 was raised at our first Love Lunch and those funds supported vulnerable, sick children and their cash-strapped families under the care of Princess Margaret Hospital.
$59,000 was raised at our second Love Lunch, with 180 tickets sold to support The Periscope Crew, a small group of inspirational young adults with disabilities who wanted to form their own film crew and needed assistance with equipment to get started. We are so proud to have supported them; they were nominated for the BAFTA Student Awards and are on their way to stardom and full independence!
